Danish filmmaker Julius Telmer has created a compelling and thrilling drama filmed entirely in Merredin, WA that explores notions of masculinity and identity, particularly in small-town Australia. Featuring a cast of local talent that includes Daniel Tenni, Mikkel Skov and Robert Livings and stars Liam Graham, Ethan Tomas and Marthe Snorresdotter Rovik.
Join us for a Q&A screening on Tuesday 27 April with producer Daniel Tenni and an impressive selection of local acting talent that includes Ethan Tomas, Claudia Cirillo, Liam Graham and Bella Broadway (she/her/hers), Managing Director - Connection And Wellbeing Australia (CAWA). The evening is co-hosted by HALO Films and moderated by Annie Murtagh-Monks, casting director and acting coach following the 6.30 pm screening.
The film follows James (Ethan Tomas), who returns to the small town of Greenfield to rebuild his life and win back his former girlfriend, Kelly (Marthe Rovik). Tensions soon explode when Kelly's brother Michael (Liam Graham) reveals a volatile secret setting off a chain of repressed trauma, toxicity, and destructive behaviour that leaves an unsettling dark shadow that ultimately threatens to destroy the small-minded community.
