THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB PANEL DISCUSSION EVENT:

Join us for this special screening of the Academy Award® nominated film The Voice of Hind Rajab, followed by an in conversation with Dr. Mo Mustafa, a Palestinian-Australian Emergency Physician Trainee who is a PCRF Australia Ambassador (Palestine Children’s Relief Fund) and has firsthand experience responding to medical crises affecting children in Gaza.
Dr. Mo is an engaging, grounded speaker and is very well placed to contribute to a thoughtful post-screening discussion that centres on the humanitarian and medical realities reflected in the film
January 29, 2024. Red Crescent volunteers receive an emergency call. A six-year-old girl is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her. Her name was Hind Rajab.
As complications continue to arise, the situation becomes increasingly more difficult, and responders are forced to juggle protocol, panic, and moral urgency while trying to comfort Hind amongst negotiating an impossible reality.
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival and shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best International Film, Kaouther Ben Hania's THE VOICEOF HIND RAJAB is a harrowing drama that utilises real footage and audio.
Arabic language, English subtitles.
