After the Hunt
Synopsis
From visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino comes AFTER THE HUNT, a gripping psychological drama starring a career-best Julia Roberts, alongside Ayo Edebiri, and Andrew Garfield.
Alma (Roberts), a respected and admired Yale college professor finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when her protégé and star student Maggie (Edebiri) levels an accusation against Hank (Garfield), one of her colleagues and friends. As campus discourse becomes dominated by the alleged incident, the landscape of loyalty, morality, and professional ethics comes into question. Navigating the tense and emotionally charged environment around her, Alma finds that her own past secrets threaten to come to light, jeopardising both her career and personal life.
Morally ambiguous, tense, and timely, Guadagnino’s AFTER THE HUNT is a timely piece about power and privilege from one of cinema’s most respected and interesting filmmakers.
