Overshadowed by The Matrix, there was another 1999 sci-fi movie that asked, “What is reality?” From freaky auteur David Cronenberg (Videodrome, The Fly), Jude Law is a security guard who plugs into eXistenz, a video game created by Jennifer Jason Leigh where the controllers and consoles are fleshy organs that “insert” into the body. Also starring Willem Dafoe (of course) offering a different kind of game mod. A strange and surreal cyberpunk experience from the king of body-horror. Co-presented with Channel 83.
