Revelation is dedicated to the acknowledgement, encouragement and support of the local screen sector. It’s behind local screen artists by not just showing their films but actively assisting in getting them made… and here they are!
The City of Vincent Film Project provides early-career filmmakers with the opportunity, support and funding to create short non-fiction works that showcase local stories, characters and urban legends from across Vincent. Tonight’s line-up includes two films from the 2026 initiative, alongside one of our favourite local shorts from 2026.
Also screening are the five finalists from three categories of the Life in Pictures Filmmaking Competition, followed by the awards presentation and glittering closing night party.

A number of years ago, the City of Vincent Film Project commissioned the hugely successful documentary Pacing the Pool. Screening at more than 100 film festivals internationally and earning a host of awards, its success took everyone by surprise. This year, we’re spotlighting the newest work from the team behind that film with the sensational animated short Trading Cards.
An enigmatic man journeys back in time to find his younger self, seemingly to revisit the nostalgia of trading cards. An exploration of identity, mental health and the erosion of childhood innocence, Trading Cards is a dark fantasy animated film about the weight of living with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
