Synopsis
Elena Brunello's forward-looking exploration of how cities are responding to climate change. Cities of Tomorrow examines the urgent role urban design and innovation play in shaping a sustainable future. The film invites audiences to consider how collective action and creative thinking can redefine the spaces we inhabit.
What if the battle for the planet is won or lost in the places we call home?
Cities of Tomorrow is a four-part documentary that reframes the climate crisis not as a distant catastrophe, but as an urgent urban reality. With cities responsible for over 70% of global emissions, they are both the frontline of environmental collapse—and the crucible of its solutions.
Guided by Viola Follini, a 27-year-old climate project manager for C40 Cities, and Professor Antonello Pasini, one of Italy’s foremost climate scientists, the documentary weaves a generational and intellectual dialogue through the streets of London, Milan, and beyond.
