Billy Wilder’s classic noir tells the story of insurance salesman Walter Neff (Fred MacMurray), who becomes entangled in a deadly scheme with the alluring Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck) to murder her husband and collect on his life insurance. Filled with seduction, lies, and the fatal allure of greed, Double Indemnity is a taut, suspenseful portrait of lust, betrayal, and doom.
