Synopsis

Held in an L.A. interrogation room, small time conman Verbal Kint attempts to convince the feds that a mythic crime lord, Keyser Soze, not only exists, but was also responsible for drawing him and his four partners into a multi-million dollar heist that ended with an explosion in San Pedro harbour – leaving few survivors. As the story unfolds through fragments, flashbacks, and competing versions of events, truth becomes increasingly unstable—both for the investigators and the audience.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Gabriel Byrne, Benicio del Toro, Stephen Baldwin, Kevin Pollak, and Chazz Palminteri, whose characters form a fragile web of criminals bound by coincidence and suspicion. Expertly shot and edited, The Usual Suspects gives the audience a simple plot and then piles on layers of deceit, twists, and violence before pulling out the rug from underneath.

Reviews

4/4 It's a nerve-shredding suspense movie about corruption, a bravura actor's show full of deliciously twisted cops and robbers, and a complex riddle packed with unexpected turns.
The Chicago Tribune
A terrific cast of exciting actors socks over this absorbingly complicated yarn that's been spun in seductively slick fashion.
Variety
Like a tale from the Arabian Nights, told for the sheer pleasure of storytelling, this elegant puzzle not only enjoys showing off, it also has something to show.
